Resumo

Fazit: Es gibt viele Theorien zum mittelalterlichen Lachen und zur Komik im Mittelalter. Ich greife im Folgenden zwei Theoretiker heraus und stelle ihre Überlegungen vergleichend gegenüber, nämlich Michail Bachtins Ideen zur Karnevalisierung der Literatur und Jacques Le Goffs Studie über das Lachen im Mittelalter. Der Vergleich wird Schwerpunkte der jeweiligen Arbeiten ergeben und eventuell eine Synthese erlauben. Schlüsselwörter: Lachen, Mittelalter Abstract: There are lots of theories concerning laughter and comic in the middle ages. I will occupy myself with two historians who wrote about medieval laughter, and I will compare their different approaches: Michail Bachtins ideas concerning medieval laughter in popular culture and Jacques Le Goffs study about laughter in the middle ages. The comparison of the two authors will show strong points of each work and will possibly allow a synthesis. Keywords: laughter, the middle ages
