Resumo

O caminhão [1977], de Marguerite Duras mostra que o entendimento entre o motorista e a passageira que viaja de carona não existe; a construção dialógica que nos é apresentada prescinde de um sentido. Motorista e passageira falam a mesma língua, percorrem a mesma estrada e, no entanto, não há entendimento, embora conversem durante todo percurso. O motorista, aquele que dirige, não sabe o que transporta. A passageira nada sabe sobre si. Entre o que conduz e a que é conduzida abre-se uma linha tênue sobre a qual se estabelece um diálogo sem que o sentido encontre lugar. O que nos é mostrado em O caminhão não é o mesmo que se dá no processo da escrita?
