It has been, especially after the enactment of the Access to Information Law and the creation of the National Truth Commission, increasing academic production on the Guerrilha do Araguaia. The availability of documents in public archives of the State and in the archives of independent organizations, such as the Maurício Grabóis foundation, and even privately made public, such as the archive of revealed memories, by Aluízio Ferreira Palmar, is significant. In this article, dialoguing with documents and bibliographic production, it is intended to socialize results of research carried out from the Alvorecer Program in which the memory of peasant men and women was prioritized, especially those from Vila Santa Cruz dos Martírios, in the municipality of São Geraldo. Araguaia, PA and those, also peasants, who joined the armed forces. We seek in everyday life, including the experiences of the sacred, to capture how families, crossed by violence, lived and resisted in Araguaia-Tocantins.
