O QUE SENTE UM CAVALEIRO?: ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA DAS EMOÇÕES BÉLICAS EM AMADÍS DE GAULA E DOM QUIXOTE

Resumo: Neste trabalho, a partir dos direcionamentos teórico-metodológicos propostos por Rosenwein (2011), farei uma investigação sobre as expressões emocionais de temática bélica empregadas em Amadís de Gaula e Dom Quixote. Meu objetivo é perceber, através do referido eixo analítico, as continuidades entre essas diferentes representações da Cavalaria, contestando a tese de que o texto de Cervantes significaria uma negação dos libros de caballerías. Mais adiante, para avançar na hipótese dessa profunda continuidade, procuro mobilizar e expandir o conceito de emotives (REDDY, 2001), considerando os possíveis efeitos emocionais que esses textos vieram a ter sobre seus leitores, sejam estes ficcionais ou reais, gerando, a partir disso, efetivas “comunidades emocionais” (ROSENWEIN, 2006).

Abstract: In this work, based on the theoretical-methodological guidelines proposed by Rosenwein (2011), I will investigate the emotional expressions of belic themes used in Amadís de Gaula and Don Quixote. My objective is to perceive, through the aforementioned analytical axis, the continuities between these different representations of Chivalry, contesting the thesis that Cervantes' text would mean a denial of the libros de caballerías. Later, to advance the hypothesis of this profound continuity, I try to mobilize and expand the concept of emotives (REDDY, 2001), considering the possible emotional effects that these texts came to have on their readers, whether fictional or real, generating, from addition, effective “emotional communities” (ROSENWEIN, 2006).
