Resumo

Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho é abordar a orientação espacial dos antigos celtas. Essa orientação era baseada principalmente no movimento do sol. O deslocamento do nascer do sol em direção ao seu ocaso era particularmente importante e possuía conotações religiosas. Este movimento do astro no céu era considerado propício. Havia crenças de que cavalos, aves aquáticas, etc., podiam conduzir ou acompanhar o astro pelo céu ou no oceano do mundo inferior. Palavras-chave: Religião celta, Orientação do sol, Cosmologia da Idade do Ferro. Abstract This work aims to analyse the spatial orientation of the ancient Celts. This orientation was mainly based on the movement of the sun. The way from the sunrise to the sunset was particularly important and had religious connotation. This movement of the star in the sky was believed to be propitious. There were beliefs that horses, aquatic birds, and other animals, could conduct or accompany the star throughout the sky or in the underworld sea.
