About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Revista de Letras – Juçara, a biannual journal published by the Language Department of the State University of Maranhão - UEMA/Campus Caxias, proposes to publish articles in the areas of Linguistics and Literature that promote, in the perspective of enriching the borders of the Human Sciences, reflections within its area of ​​scope, and in the interdisciplinary possibilities established from the intersection with other fields of knowledge. The journal accepts only unpublished articles.

In addition to the articles section, Revista de Letras – Juçara presents in its content specific sections linked to thematic dossiers, as well as publications of reviews and literary texts (tales and poems).

The languages ​​accepted for publication are Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Researchers with a PhD or Masters degree can submit articles for any of the sections; PhD and Master's students linked to a Postgraduate Program can also submit articles for any of the sections. Undergraduate students can only submit texts in co-authorship with their supervisors, who must have at least a master's degree.

Peer Review Process

Revista de Letras Juçara uses the Double Blind Peer Review model, that is, all texts, without exception, will be evaluated by two referees, maintaining mutual anonymity.

Open Access Policy

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge available to the public free of charge provides greater world democratization of knowledge.

We do not charge article processing fees (APCs).
