Abstract

This article seeks to discuss the literary values and world values, notions delimited by Bakhtin, in contemporary Brazilian literature, based on the contrast that exists between them, building an analysis of the impact of historical time and social space in contemporary Brazilian poetry, especially in a chronotopic perspective. For that, we selected poems from meu nome agora é uma cidade devastada (2020), by Ithalo Furtado and Lutar é crime (2019), by Bell Puã. In the analyzed poems, time and space are directly linked to the human essence of their lyrical self and cannot be seen only as a backdrop for the poets 'creation process, but as determinants for the poems' formal and thematic result.

Keywords: Contemporary poetry. World values. Literary values. Chronotope.
