Abstract

ABSTRACT: This story aims to highlight the phenomenon of death as a natural issue that, inevitably, sooner or later, will reach all mortal beings without distinction: some in the womb, others in their youth, or those already well advanced in age. As such, the discussion is based on a drama in which death unexpectedly arrives at the home of one of these rural families and affects the mother figure in that home. The text also highlights the funeral and the peculiarities of the event, highlighting the political and behavioral characteristics of the society in which the incident took place, as well as the family's reaction to the death situation.

Possui graduação em História pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (2008) e mestrado em Antropologia (PPGA/UFS) pela mesma instituição. Tem experiência na área de História, com ênfase em História
das Religiões, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: candomblé, cultura, identidade e poder.
