POEMA SUJO: THE DUALISTIC UNDERSTANDING OF REALITY AND ART

Abstract

The association between life and art becomes closer as they trigger reflections about the environment in which one lives from the primary contact with the appreciated object. This article aims to highlight the critical fortune attributed to Ferreira Gullar's Poema Sujo, as well as to point out the relationship between the work and the sociocultural and artistic context in which it was written. This work also intends to reflect on the influence and neoconcrete heritage in the development of the literary aesthetic defended by Gullar as a poet and critic. The composition of this work contributes to pointing out the author's trajectory as fundamental to the field of art and poetry studies, as well as to make explicit the correlation between the investigation of literature and society. The results conferred to the article credit the understanding that the Poema Sujo assists in the understanding and re-signification of the historical and creative scenario experienced in the twentieth century.
