Abstract

This work is the result of research, debates and critical readings carried out during the scientific initiation journey (2020-2021). The objective of the study is to bring the novel Recordações do Escrivão Isaías Caminha (1909), by Lima Barreto, closer to contemporaneity through a concept inaugurated by a contemporary writer. For this, the intention is to reflect the writing through writings produced by Conceição Evaristo, in order to clarify that the fictionalization of memory differs from an autobiography. In addition, it is intended to revisit some studies on the critical fortune of Lima Barreto and reinvigorate reflections on history in the light of Benjaminian and Barthesian theories. And, thus, to be in harmony with the Agambenian idea of ​​what is contemporary.

Robenylson de Oliveira, UFAC

É graduado em Letras - Língua Portuguesa na Universidade
Federal do Acre. Atuou como pró-docente no colégio de
aplicação - cAp. Cooperou no Projeto de Extensão "Relatos
de Maternidades: às margens da pandemia" no período de
09/2020 a 12/2020. Além disso, atuou como bolsista no
programa Institucional de Iniciação Científica - PIBIC no
projeto: "Traços do moderno no final do século XIX: O Triste
fim de Policarpo Quaresma e os Manifestos modernistas".

Camila, Universidade Federal do Acre

He holds a bachelor's degree in Latin from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2004), a master's degree in Literary Theory from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2007) and a PhD in Literary Theory from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2017). She is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Acre. Has experience in the area of ​​Letters, with emphasis on Literary Theory.
