Era meu esse rosto by Márcia Tiburi (2014) presents aspects of a contemporary novel, memorialistic and philosophical. The work launches reflections on the constitution of a latent "I", from the relay between the past and the present. Both childhood and adulthood are skillfully revered in the narrative, but in the narrator-protagonist's childhood memories there is not enough insight into his family history and the interference on his self. But through a temporal detachment and a mature look, he can understand the impact of family genesis on the constitution of himself. Based on these considerations, we raise the following question: How is the representation of the "I" between the past and the present? In view of this, we will seek to analyze how the memory of childhood acts in the memorial narrative through the reconstitution of images, as well as to understand the legitimation of the "I" in the present. To theoretically situate the analysis, we will resort to the thought of Maurice Halbwachs (2006), Ivan Izquierdo (1986), Paul Ricouer (1997), among others.
