INDIGENOUS RESISTANCE WRITING: A REFLECTION IN THE LIGHT OF CONTEMPORANEITY

The present study aims to raise discussion on the writing of indigenous authorship as a form of resistance, in view of the subaltern condition inscribed on the female subject surrounded by the historical conjuncture of the cultural formation of contemporary society, and by the diasporic process experienced by the native peoples. Such reflection takes into account the confluence of prospective native voices, and the perceptions of indigenous literature as a movement of resistance and identity affirmation. Indigenous writing by female authors anchored in ancestral traditions and knowledge fosters a new literary perspective, and breaks with the secular silencing of native peoples crossed by the implications of the imperialist project. As a theoretical support we will build on the literary scholarship of Gaiatry Spivak (2010), Liane Schneider (2008), Aníbal Quijano (2005), Daniel Munduruku (2011), Graça Graúna (2013) and Eliane Potiguara (2004), among other pertinent studies.
