Children's literature influences the child's formation by developing skills for social interaction, since children's books stimulate the imagination, transmit values such as tolerance, acceptance and inclusion. From this perspective, a bibliographic survey was carried out between August and September 2022, using the Google Scholar platform. The keywords used in the research were: Children's Literature, Children's Education and 2022. 18 articles were found, but of these we selected 8 articles, which address the subject under review. A synthesis map was created to better outline the theoretical bases that support the studies, the methodologies used, the results achieved. As a result, it was found that the surveyed studies indicate that the most reported theoretical bases are the importance of children's literature for the development and inclusion of children in Early Childhood Education. That among the biggest challenges was the lack of encouragement from the family in the child's first contact with the world of literature, lack of inclusive children's books and lack of pedagogical planning for the insertion of literature in schools. This review made it possible to verify that there is a need to renew pedagogical practices that meet the needs of children, valuing their prior knowledge and renewing perspectives through storytelling.
