ABSTRACT: The present article proposes the analysis of educational practices which result from extension courses of two public universities at the state level, developed in two different Brazilian regions, North and Northeast. The specific issue we intend to address is mainly theoretical and methodological and pertains to the activities developed in each region, which have some distinct concerns due to the public in question. The analyses are guided by ethnography, through the affective and translingual approach applied in these courses, based on the theoretical lenses of Ahmed, Morgan & Maciel (2021), Deleuze (2002), Yip and Garcia (2018), Rocha (2019), Mignolo (2017), among others. The data analysis pointed out the effects of the pedagogical practices on the appropriation and organization modes, by the extension teachers, regarding their language practices in a heterogeneous context. The results point to the significance of inclusive educational practices, sensitive to social changes in order to value linguistic identities and the affective relationships between individuals.
