Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to approach the short stories by two recognized writers in Brazilian literature, with the prospect of articulating their texts with film work. In this sense, the stories by Dalton Trevisan and João Antônio are respectively considered as an object of interpretation by the filmmakers Joaquim Pedro de Andrade and Maurice Capovilla. The intention is to verify the possibility of dialogue between the images and their stories, in order to aproach the praxis of them to the syntax of cinematography. It tries to establish relations between literary narrative and cinematographic narrative in order to focusing points of convergence between the two means of language, wanting to find new ways for the aesthetic perception of literary language in conjunction with filmic language.

Keywords: Dalton Trevisan. João Antônio. Joaquim Pedro de Andrade. Maurice Capovilla. Literature and film.
