GONÇALVES DIAS AND THE RECONSTRUCTION OF IDENTITY AND CULTURAL SPACE: PROPOSAL FOR TEACHING MARANHENSE LITERATURE

Abstract

This research presents as its central theme the encouragement of the teaching of Maranhão Literature, rescuing the cultural and identity memory of the Indianist and nationalist literature of Gonçalves Dias. It also presents the history of Caxias and Coelho Neto, rescuing the identity formations of these cities, also encouraging reading through literary texts, making students aware of the identity and cultural space of Maranhão. As for the methodology, it is a bibliographical, qualitative and interpretive research, assuming a perspective in which identity and cultural space are developed and understood through the history and social context of the cities in which the corpus is generated. based on narrative interviews considered as a dynamic, flexible and meaningful instrument. The interviews were carried out with two historians who experienced the events in both cities. After carrying out the interviews, with the recording of the stories, the data was transcribed based on Conversation Analysis guidelines based on Marcuschi (2003), which values human conversation at the moment of interaction. In addition, exploratory, descriptive and documentary field research was carried out in which the results are not presented in numerical terms but rather provoke the search for knowledge, essential for understanding the particularities of social sciences and the reality surrounding interpersonal relationships. historical and cultural.

Possui Graduação em Letras -Português e Literatura- pela Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras" Imaculada Conceição" (1985)- FIC de Santa Maria no RS. Especialista em "Atualização Pedagógica" pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) e em "Perspectiva Críticas da Literatura Contemporânea" pela Universidade Estadual do Maranhão (UEMA). Mestre em Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro ( UERJ). Doutora em Linguística Aplicada pela Faculdade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos - UNISINOS-RS. Atualmente é Professora Adjunta da Universidade Estadual do Maranhão- UEMA e é docente lotada no Departamento de Letras do Campus Balsas. Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Língua Portuguesa, Literatura e Linguística.
