This article analyzes the expressive resources present in the work "Revoltoso Ribamar Palmeira" (Revoltoso Ribamar Palmeira) by Caxias-born writer Adailton Medeiros. The research seeks to demonstrate how the use of figures of speech, such as metaphors, alliteration, rhythm, and carefully crafted syntactic structures, imbues the author's writing with a strong aesthetic dimension, fostering a sensitive and meaningful literary experience. By fusing literature and social critique, Medeiros's work reveals a singular style, marked by the evocation of collective memory and the valorization of Maranhão identity. Stylistic expressiveness, in this context, is not limited to textual embellishment but becomes a central element in the construction of meaning and the transmission of a critical and affective vision of the world. The research adopts a qualitative and interpretative approach, drawing on theoretical foundations from scholars such as Guiraud (1970), Henriques (2011), Rocha (2014), among others contribute to the understanding of literary language as an aesthetic manifestation and an instrument of discursive construction.
