Der Raum, den es nicht geben darf: Schatel le Mort– eine arthurische ‚no go area‘.
Abstract
Schlüsselwörter: Lanzelet, Raum, Struktur Abstract When the epic hero travels through his poetic world of forests, castles and mythical realms, he needs to adapt to the specific requirements of each space, or learn to do, so to remain victorious in the end. Sometimes he fails to do so and trouble ensues. This paper looks at some extraordinary aspects of site-specific acting in Ulrich von Zatzikhoven’s late medieval Arthurian romance Lanzelet, and shows how the analytic category of poetic space could be a keystone for research, torn between structural and character-based methodology. Keywords: Lanzelet/Lancelot, Space, StructureDownloads
