Abstract

Football is a sport with countless possibilities for economic exploitation, especially with activities related to business that directly involve players. In this sense, the article aims to identify the main characteristics of the footballer transfer market, after 2010, considering the Latin American countries as importers and exporters of this workforce. The methodology used uses a literature review, as well as the collection and analysis of data in FIFA reports. The results showed that among the most active nationalities in the transfer market are Brazilians and Argentines. Furthermore, regardless of the country of origin, Brazil is the leader in the number of transfers considering the entry and exit of players. Other information pointed to the growth of Mexico that surpassed countries such as Uruguay and Chile in the negotiations of these sportsmen.
