This article aims to share a narrative based on the experience and understanding obtained in Serra do Divisor, in the Serra do Divisor National Park (Parque Nacional Serra do Divisor - PNSD), characterized as a Conservation Unit (UC) in the Acreana Amazon. It is in the municipalities of Mâncio Lima, Cruzeiro do Sul, Rodrigues Alves, Marechal Thaumaturgo and Porto Walter, belonging to the State of Acre, bordering Pucallpa-Peru. The Park is under the care of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade - ICMBio). The method of analysis used was phenomenological and the methodological procedures used were through fieldwork with the use of the technique of direct observation, interviews, informal conversations, field diary and photographic records of the researched environment, because it seeks to understand the subject and the group in its singularity from their emotions and perceptions of the world. The main issues highlighted were: the diverse Amazonian landscapes, the ways of life of traditional populations, the feelings, perceptions emotions and meanings of the place and nature and the importance of the environment for social reproduction of the life of traditional Amazonian populations. Thus, allowing oneself to establish an intersubjective relationship between the subject and the environment is a challenging strategy in the face of a world that is not known, but is about to be revealed.
