THE ADVANCE OF BACKWARDNESS: THE TERRITORIALIZATION OF AGRIBUSINESS IN MATO GROSSO DO SUL

Abstract

This article is the result of discussions started in the master’s degree, with the dissertation being the fi nal product, entitled: The construction of na agribusiness in Chapadão do Sul-MS and defended at the Federal University of Mato Grosso, from the occupation policy of the Central-West region, financed by the Federal Government through laws, decrees, programs and governamental incentives of tax breaks, wich made Mato Grosso do Sul, a state with very high degrees of land concentration, and territorialization of agribusiness, mainly through monocultures of eucalyptus, sugarcane and soybeans
