Abstract

he on-screen article aims to discuss questions about the right to the city and its productions, through a bibliographic research with qualitative bias, from the dialogical perspective of discourse. To this end, it outlines a brief profile of the modernization of Brazilian cities in the 19th century. xx, pointing out some problems caused by this process. It also highlights the alienating character of the modernization process and, finally, discusses awareness through the artistic productions of the city, especially literature.
