Abstract

Ninho de cobras, by writer Lêdo Ivo (1973), tells stories of Maceió’s daily life, with characters who make use of the space and help to describe the landscape and social environment of the Centro and Jaraguá neighborhoods. This work has as general objective to analyze the polysensory experience of the fox character, protagonist of the first chapter of the studied novel, in the capital of Alagoas. The methodology that started from the investigation, recording and geographic theorization of the stretches of greatest interest for the city’s landscape analysis resulted in discussions about the character’s urban experience and his intimate and sensory involvement with the landscape, becoming part of it and, by end, experiencing a tragic experience of the place.
