The text aims a dialogue between the lyrism of the Curitiba poet Paulo Leminski, from his poem “In Brasilia I admired” from the book Distracted we will win (1995) and the representations of the urban landscape that emerge from his verses, with the aim of showing the relations between reading poetry in the classroom and the debate on the urban context in a perspective that considers it beyond of its concrete and spatial dimension, from Benjamin (1995), Carlos (2009, 2017), Canevacci (2004) and Harvey (2009, 2012). It is expected to broaden the understanding of the urban through literature, highlighting its historical-social dimension in the poetic word.
