LGBT events go beyond the usual territories of entertainment, beyond the fad of conventional events and their representations, “in loco”. They take place in territories impregnated with iconography, in the way society culturally constituted them. The search for meeting places and greater interaction has always been (and still is) one of the main characteristics of the LGBT community that seeks refuge in large urban centers, which “appropriates” the territories. But what is this relationship like in small urban centers? Because, due to the isolation from crowds, the events are more taxing, segregated, and little analyzed. Through the question: Where have LGBT people been in Ourinhos? We will discuss the materiality and formation of the LGBT territory in the city of Ourinhos (State of São Paulo/Brazil), through produced events, whose landscapes, identities and memories are still constituted in the culture of private parties.
