This study aims to analyze how geography teachers who work in Elementary Education in the municipality of Dois Irmão do Buriti/MS, contemplate the teaching of health geography, considering the legal frameworks embodied in LDBEN, BNCC and the State Reference Curriculum from Mato Grosso do Sul, as well as in textbooks. For this purpose, an online instrument was developed, consisting of questions related to the geography of health and the geography textbook. After the analyzes carried out, it was found that although the geography of health does not integrate the knowledge of the geography teacher, it is presented in official documents, in the curriculum, as well as in textbooks, and in practice, it is not worked satisfactorily, perhaps for lack of continuing education. Therefore, the geography of health needs to be worked on in a more explicit way, from the perspective of critical geography and in an interdisciplinary way.
