The paper aims to contribute critically with the study of landscapes in a Brazil’s Basic Education stage whose students’ age varies between 6 to 17 years old. As such, a chart of sequential skills is presented, mentioning explicitly the term “landscape” or “landscapes” as the proposed study focus in documents directing the teaching of Geography (such as BNCC) and from there, critical reflections take part concerning how a landscape is (and can or could be) treated in school everyday routine. In this direction, Geovisualization is proposed as a technique able to make viable, in an interactive manner, the representation and study of landscapes. As such, a refresh of a conceptual model of Geovisualization is proposed. As a result, an example of a digital resource is presented and discussed: GeoGuessr, a guessing game that makes available the study of landscapes by means of interactivity.
