Abstract

This article presents part of the processes of two teacher training in public schools. They was dedicated to watching, talking about and producing images and sounds, while their paths were followed through the cartography methodology. These teachers watched fragments of films sensitive to spatial and social transformations felt in the landscapes and daily lives of beings whose local, community and/or public aspects of their ways of life have been threatened by private interests with State support. After that, they created audiovisual experiments based on the ways of filming present in these works, having to deal with formal limits inspired by the  “pedagogy of the dispositif”, in which the representation of a narrative, message, and/or closed script has no centrality. These limits made this audiovisual production to be crossed with by forces and materialities of a place-school, considering the concept of “place” from the geographers Doreen Massey and Wenceslao Oliveira Jr.
