In a context of crisis and permanent transformation of the referents and parameters that organize life, bringing significant implications to the modes of the subjects modes feel and relate, the fracturing themes, avoided for a long time, are often contemplated in children’s literature, with the approach, for example, the existential sufferings experienced by children and their ways of facing them. Considering this and taking as a basis the book "Vazio", by the spanish writer Anna Llenas, and the reflections made by authors who discuss the literature, its themes and influence on the formation of subjects, this text is intended to highlight the humanizing character of literature for children who, while art and space for dealing with themes that are part of everyone’s life, play a significant role in expanding the experiences and understandings of the small reader about himself and what surrounds him.
Keywords: Fracturing themes. Children’s literature. Child reader. Children’s experiences.
