EDUCATIONAL APPROACHES TO WATER AND BNCC: PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL OF A DIDACTIC BOOKLET

Water is an extremely important natural resource for life on planet Earth. However, due to human actions that contaminate and pollute the environment, this asset is threatened. Given this scenario, the need to include pedagogical approaches to water in schools is evident. In this sense, the objective of this article is to: analyze the pedagogical potential of the didactic booklet “Water: essential to life, interdisciplinary by nature”, with regard to the competencies provided for in the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC). Among the most significant results of this analysis, the article highlights the elements that provide the development of fifty-three direct skills that are activated in the booklet, which are grouped in the ten competencies indicated in the BNCC. These competencies and skills identified denote that the booklet can be an important teaching material to be used, inside and outside schools, in approaching water.
